Alcohol And Snoring

Is there a connection between alcohol and snoring? It might be quite relaxing to have a drink or two before you go to bed whether it be a beer in the bar with your friends or a glass of wine or spirits after your dinner. It may however be the cause of your snoring which will be costing you and your partner a good night’s rest.

Stop Snoring Device

Alcohol and SnoringIt has been proven that alcohol can be the cause of snoring problems. Just a couple of drinks each night could be enough to give you a persistent snoring problem. Alcohol is a muscle relaxant so as we drink it relaxes all our muscles including the muscles of the throat which are responsible for our snoring. If you’ve ever been at a social gathering or at a party where someone you know has got drunk and fallen asleep they might have been snoring quite loudly in their drink induced, relaxed sleep. If the person is later confronted they will most probably deny having been snoring saying that they never snore. This may be true but when alcohol is used then the muscles involved with snoring become more relaxed than normal.
To be able to stop your snoring you have to be able to make sure that it alcohol induced. This could be and effective stop snoring device. You may not go to bed each night drunk but even with just one drink at night it is possible to bring on the effects of snoring. The test is simple to perform. Try going to bed one night without taking any alcohol (if you can). If you do not snore that night then your snoring is alcohol induced and there is little you can do to stop it other than not drink before going to bed.
You need to weigh up the idea of a night without snoring for your partner or against your daily alcohol intake.

If there is a connection between alcohol and snoring then an effective stop snoring device would be to reduce the daily intake of alcohol.
